At Somerleigh Court there is full and part time work for about 95 people in both the Nursing Home and Close Care teams.
We are committed to providing the best possible standards of service to our residents and this is achieved through the skills and dedication of our staff. The objective is to recruit motivated individuals for each post, either suitably qualified and experienced or with the potential ability to be trained to the required standard.
Career Development and Training
We endeavour to fulfil the development needs of all staff to enable them to fulfil their role more effectively and enable them to maintain the highest standards of service to our clients.
In order to ensure that all staff achieve their optimum potential, we have a senior member of the care team responsible for training who coordinates both mandatory and vocational courses.
Training needs are identified and appropriate certificated courses are planned to enhance performance, build on existing skills, expand knowledge and improve job satisfaction.
Staff are expected and encouraged to contribute and actively participate in their own development programme.
